About Candor & Hope

Healing with honesty. Growing with support.

A textured clay vase in soft light

Founded by Marirhetta Crosby, a dually licensed Ohio therapist and clinical supervisor, Candor & Hope combines clinical knowledge, cultural awareness, and respect for relationships.

Healing takes honesty and compassion. Therapy is a place for difficult conversations, understanding your experiences, and practicing change with support.

Your relationships, family, culture, community, and life circumstances shape your mental health. We explore those influences together while building on your strengths.

As our practice grows, our commitment stays personal: thoughtful care, clear communication, and a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust.

Our Mission

To support the healing and wellness of individuals, especially couples and families, through prevention, intervention, treatment, and psychoeducation.

How We Work

Clinically grounded. Relationally focused. Culturally responsive.

We see the whole person.

Your identity, relationships, culture, strengths, and circumstances matter in understanding your concerns.

We explore patterns with purpose.

Our systemic and attachment-informed approach considers how past experiences and present relationships influence your life.

We draw on research and clinical judgment.

Treatment approaches are selected according to your needs, goals, preferences, and the clinician’s training.

We make the work practical.

Therapy can include reflection, communication practice, coping strategies, and skills to use between sessions.

We collaborate with you.

We establish goals together, discuss progress, and adjust the approach when needed.

Our Identity

Black-woman-owned. Rooted in dignity and belonging.

We recognize how race, culture, family history, faith, and experiences of discrimination can affect mental health and access to care.

Our commitment to culturally affirming care includes listening carefully, examining assumptions, and respecting how you understand your own life. We welcome clients of every background and identity.

When requested and appropriate, faith and spirituality can be included in therapy in a way that respects your beliefs.

Our Group Practice Culture

Supported clinicians. Accountable leadership. Thoughtful care.

We are building a practice where compassion and professionalism shape everyday decisions.

Our culture emphasizes ongoing learning, consultation, appropriate clinical supervision, clear expectations, and respectful communication. We value clinicians’ different perspectives while maintaining shared standards for ethical care.

We believe sustainable workloads, professional boundaries, and opportunities for growth help clinicians provide attentive, consistent care.

For clients, that commitment means a practice that takes your concerns seriously, welcomes feedback, protects your privacy, and works to address problems responsibly.

You do not have to figure it out alone.

Whether you want support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, we can help you explore the next step.
